Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon develop. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's photo disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets to boost their level of use. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, dependent on the item type.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give attribute bonuses or additional effects while the equipment is being utilized. Infusions can be found in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enrichments are used to upgrade certain ascended back items. Injecting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. There are exceptions for glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and put back in.
Insignias and enchantments will display their names in the hover display of the item, while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their names to the end of the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will show the number of upgrades that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you view and insert these special characters, as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dieshes, registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph gives a character a boost in their primary stats. The glyph could also be equipped with up to four secondary stats that will alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase that is multiplied by other bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the hero’s speed.
Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the selected item. You only need to apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you are looking for. Each weapon or jewelry piece has a different collection of Glyphs.
Glyphs can be upgraded through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you will gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node every 15 levels at which a Glyph is upgraded.
When a Glyph is at the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and then click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will provide the stated bonus and also boost all the other nodes that are within its radius on the Paragon Board. Rerolling
